WATCH THE INTERNET’S NEWS NETWORK: www.NewsTsar.com Steve Jobs would like to keep Apple (NSDQ AAPL) in Cupertino, unveiling plans last night at a city council meeting in California’s Silicon Valley for a new Apple headquarters building that could accommodate 12000 people and that he thinks could set architectural standards. The circular ring-like building just down the road from Apple’s current headquarters at One Infinite Loop would sit atop old apricot orchards long since devoured by companies like Hewlett-Packard (NYSE: HPQ) for their own campuses. Apple bought a significant chunk of land from HP last year in order to round out its holdings in the area, and wants to transform the existing asphalt-dominated landscape into a parkland setting surrounding the four-story building. Jobs compared the building itself to “a spaceship,” with curved glass making up the exterior wall. “This is not the cheapest way to build things,” he told council members, noting that Apple’s work on its own network of retail buildings around the world had given it substantial experience working with glass. Around 2600 people currently work at One Infinite Loop, but Apple has been renting buildings around that location for the last several years to accommodate its growing workforce, and apparently much of that rental stock is not up to Jobs’ standards. So after my failed attempt and building a waterfall in my previous house, I was determined to include one in this house. What you don’t know about this house is that this is the… 4th(?) version of it, the one before this either got the evil ‘flooded’ glitch or the general house design didn’t work properly. While choosing the music for house 17’s slideshow, I found a particular song which screamed out that I needed to make a Spanish/ Latin style house just so I could use the song XD So here it my failed attempt at the said house. Although, I did make a split level floor!!! I also took a step away from modern houses and tried something more traditional… to an extent. Oh, and I also added in a “sunroof”, quotation marks needed because all it really is, are carpet dividers over a hole in the roof. This house has many features come to think of it… and lets not forget that waterfall!!! Abrazo Libertango took 3.5 hours to build. It costs $144 000 furnished and $71 000 unfurnished, Enjoy!!!
